Casa Della Nonna, or "home of the grandmother", is a charming little 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, tucked away on one of the ancient medieval alleys, Via Jennelli, in the centre of Cortona. The building is a 15th century dwelling and is owned by Toni, an accomplished woodworking artisan from Rome. He inherited the building from his grandmother, or Nonna. Toni has just completed the restoration of Casa Della Nonna, with exquisite attention to historical detail and keeping the integrity of the medieval architecture in tact. The blend of Tuscan antiques and contemporary furniture are tastefully appointed through out the home. The apartment is on the second floor and the kitchen, living and dining area is all open floor plan, and face the valley below with spectacular vistas from several windows. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities, dishwasher, washing machine, and houses the original centuries old stone sink.
