Casa San Marco 4 Bedroom 2 Bathroom Sleeps 8-10

Beautifully restored 4 bedroom home located in the Tuscan hill town of Cortona – made famous by the book/movie Under the Tuscan Sun. Casa San Marco occupies the top two floors of a former 16th century palazzo and overlooks the stunning Church of San Francesco, along with the beautiful valley below. It is approximately 100 meters up the hill from Cortona’s main Piazza Repubblica where people congregate throughout the day to talk, shop and eat. Casa San Marco consists of 4 bedrooms; 3 with queen beds, and 1 with 2 twin beds. In addition, there is a queen-size pull-out sofa bed in the library/den. The house will sleep 8-10 people. On the main floor is a large living room with an adjoining library/den that opens out onto a spectacular terrace where one can sit and enjoy the magnificent views and watch the sunset with a glass of local wine. The spacious kitchen has been completely remodeled and has a large dining area. One of the features is a custom-made Carrara marble sink/countertop and a handbuilt Tuscan grill/fireplace – a wonderful way to cook and prepare food! The ceilings are quite high and there are 2 large arched original windows that overlook Via San Marco. There are two full baths (one on each floor) along with a washing machine.

Casa San Marco, occupies the upper two floors of a three-story medieval stone structure. The house is situated directly above the stunning Church of San Francesco and overlooks the entire ValdiChiana and the northern tip of Lake Trasimeno. It is flanked on three sides by charming cobblestone streets, which provides for an ample amount of light throughout the house. Because of its convenient location in the heart of the historic center, the house is a few minutes walk to the main piazza, shops and restaurants.

Villa in Italy for a Week

Your travels will be personally arranged by the Casa San Marcos’ owners. Your experience will include sites and flavor not available to regular tourists. Tour the wineries and ceramic factories. They can even arrange a cooking classes for the foodies.

Bella magnifico delicious dinner

Ciao Denys ~ I want to say thank you for setting up the cooking class - it was one of our highlights during our visit to Cortona! Sorry for the last minute confusion as my husband had to go back down to town - we were happy it worked out in the end as it was truly a magnificant experience for all of us! Our son is 12 yrs old and it inspired him even more to learn more about cooking. Beautiful view, fun class, bella magnifico delicious dinner.

We shall always treasure the experience.

We had a great time

Thank you very much for all that you did for our group. We had a great time at the delicious dinner you and Ivan created. We truly enjoyed the olive oil factory tour and the family that hosted us. We had a wonderful lunch, an informative tour and a walk into the olive trees. The family was very friendly and gracious. The ceramics factory tour was very interesting. We bought our Christmas presents for our relatives so now we are finished for our gifts. Thank you very much again and have a great winter season.

Now that we're back to the US and settled into our real life again, I wanted to personally thank you for everything that you did to make our holiday to Italy so successful.
When you can come back from a vacation and say "it wasworth every penny" and "I'd do it again in a heartbeat" it has been a marvelous vacation.
Kathy and I (and I believe I speak for everyone else as well) can truly say that.

The villa was marvelous, and we're all so glad that you told us about the Vasarian Corridor tour.
We discussed that one mightily and almost didn't do it, but it was an absolute highlight of our trip.
We (as a group) would also recommend Benedetta's cooking class. It was first rate.
